My Mission: End the early-morning closet staredown. It is not enough to find great pieces for a wardrobe, it is important that these pieces work together. I try to create wardrobes that work for the everyday, but include the fashion-forward, beautiful pieces that make fashion fun!

Airport Chic
What are the key elements of an outfit that is both stylish and comfortable enough to endure the drama of air travel?
1. Comfortable shoes, in case your flight is late and you need to haul ass across the airport in order to reach your connecting flight.
2. Knit or stretchy clothes, in case you need to sit on a runway for 4 hours before your 35 minute flight.
3. Large bag or tote, so you can bring entertainment, food, toiletries, toys, antibacterial wipes, and Xanax. Just remember, TSA considers mascara to be a liquid, so don't pack your ultra-expensive, ultra-lengthening, ultra-thickening mascara in your carryon unless you want to leave it with the ultra-annoying, ultra-dim TSA employees.
4. Entertainment, both to entertain and to provide a buffer between you and chatty grandmas, drunk sales reps, and college students who say "like" and "you know" entirely too much.

Fall 2011: Macro Trends
There are many elements to a fashion trend. There is the styling, the fabrics, the colors, the specific details, but these are all generated from a central theme or viewpoint. These central themes can originate from nostalgia, a Mad Max sense of gloom about the future, or a runaway best-selling novel. Here are the macro trends I see in the fashions for Fall 2011.
