I'm a huge fan of Viola Davis and thought she was magnificient in "The Help," but I'm afraid this brick red color is doing nothing for her. I think she would absolutely glow in this pink Oscar de la Renta from pre-Fall 2012.

6. Warm scarf in signature color.
7. Gloves in signature color.
8. Everyday bag in basic color (as styley as possible).
9. Gold or silver watch.
10.Earring in gold, silver, black, or signature color.

I've been thinking a lot about core wardrobes and basics and have come up with my 10 must-have clothing items for the winter season:

1. A stylish overcoat or jacket in a basic color.
2. Corduroy pants in a basic color.
3. Black ankle pants.
4. Skinny or straight leg jeans in a dark wash.
5. Black pencil skirt.
6. Blouse in signature color (I chose red - Karen red, of course).
7. Cozy sweater in basic color.
8. Twinset cardigan in signature color.
9. Twinset shell in signature color.
10.Black turtleneck.
