The most important thing to keep in mind when wearing the classic trouser is the length. Your legs should look as long as possible. You should always wear heels with trousers, high heels are best, and your pants should be hemmed to within 1/2" from the floor. Bring your shoes when you get your pants hemmed. For my tall friends, many companies now have tall length pants. Buy the tall pants and get them hemmed to the right length.
